Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Adam & Hawa mobile application and website (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be seeking marriage in accordance with Islamic principles
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction

3. Account Types

Adam & Hawa supports two account types:

• Self-managed accounts — created and managed by the individual. Direct messaging with other self-managed accounts is restricted; all users can browse profiles and exchange family contact numbers.
• Family-managed accounts — created and managed by a family member or guardian on behalf of someone seeking marriage. These accounts have full access to all features. By creating a family-managed account, the managing party confirms they have the consent of the person represented.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access at support@adamhawa.com
• Keeping your account information accurate and up to date

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful or non-matrimonial purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Share inappropriate or offensive content
• Impersonate any person or provide false information
• Attempt to access accounts or data not belonging to you
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use automated tools to access or scrape the Service
• Circumvent any security or access control measures

6. Content Guidelines

All content you submit must:

• Be truthful, accurate, and respectful
• Not violate any rights of third parties
• Not be false, misleading, or deceptive
• Align with Islamic principles and values
• Not promote commercial activities without our consent

7. Phone Number Exchange

The Service allows users to request and exchange family contact phone numbers. By participating, you agree to use shared contact details solely for matrimonial enquiry and not to share another user’s details without their consent. Once a number has been shared outside the app, we cannot control its use; users accept responsibility for contacts made through this feature.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its content, features, and design are owned by Adam & Hawa and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission. You retain ownership of content you submit; by submitting it, you grant us a limited licence to display and process it solely to operate the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to other users or the Service. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that user profiles are accurate, or that use of the Service will result in a successful marriage. You are responsible for your own due diligence when interacting with other users.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adam & Hawa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
